General Iguana Behaviour

08/18/2010

Iguana`s are generally daytime animals and are very timid by nature. When they feel threatened they will move there head up and down and try to make themselves look bigger, but mostly and when ever possible, they will try to climb up a tree to avoid the danger ! When setting up your vivarium this must be taken into account, with something provided for your lizard to climb and perhaps a covered place where he will be able to hide away from whatever has disturbed him. Mostly they will try to keep themselves basking under the sun or uv light,so a nice place to bask, like a rock or even clay flower pot will also be needed to keep your lizard happy.

Your lizard will thrive on a varied and fresh diet and will respond well to being handled,if handled in the proper manner.
